This is my first season of gardening. I live in an apartment, with only a patio with great western sun every afternoon. I have stazted some containers - including flowers, bromeliads, hanging baskets and tomatoes/veggies, and I have some house plants.
I grew up with a gardening family and have had a few plants for a couple years, like a ficus and an aloe I couldn't kill with nuclear weapons. But this year I made a new friend who has ignited the gardening impulse in me.
I tend to like non-green plants, especially purple foliage. I am really interested in learning about propagation (sp?). I have sucessfully done a few cuttings, along with a few failures. My only try at seeds was unsucessful so far.
SO, let me know any suggestions you have for plants I might enjoy on my patio or in my living room. I'd be especially interested in any "insider" advice about containers.
I want to make beautiful things :-)

I live in: United States

My zone is: Northwest Fla
