Growing up my mother was an avid gardener. I felt like slave labor, but in my mid-old age I realized gardening was a lot of fun and there is nothing like home grown fresh food. I grow a modest vegetable garden and about 1/5 acre of commercial cut flowers. I studied soil science in school and currently work as an agronomist for a company that manufactures fertilizers for certified organic production.
