I've moved back to NC after 35 years in the Pacific North West, and I'm trying to start a perennial garden at the same time that my husband and I are building a log house. Actually we had it done to dry-in, and we're doing what we are able to do and subcontracting the rest. It's a pretty much full time job! Right now we're living in our 525 sq.ft. garage apartment, which will eventually be a guest apartment. When we have all our grandchildren to visit we have wall to wall sleepers.
