I have a very large vegetable garden on a 5 acre property. About 3 acres is Burmuda grass which we use for grazing animals. I would like to landscape the acre or so surrounding my house with alot of desert type trees and rock mulch. I like to collect native plants, especially types that produce fruits. I also am interested in propagating native Az plants from seeds or cuttings, but have little luck. I recently was successful sprouting Southern Live Oak acorns from my tree by placing them in a moist baggy and letting them sit for 60 days in the frig veggy drawer. This type of success if very rewarding.
