In early April of 2002 I moved my garden of 500+ roses and many more perennials from the half acre lot where I had gardened in Ashland in Southern Oregon to a beautiful hilltop in the country with sweeping views and already established trees, etc. I have been gardening madly since the move and have added another acre of gardens to the existing acre. In late December of 2002 I acquired the inventory of Rose Guardians which included over 500 new varieties, including over 300 mature bareroot plants, some of massive size of all classes. Additionally there were 4500 roses in small pots that were for mail order. Part of the fun of working with this inventory is that it is eclectic in a sophisticated sort of way and includes esoteric roses like the Bamboo Rose or r. Bhutan.
