Living in rural NW Iowa, in 2005 I have taken up the challenge of providing outdoor visual interests other than corn and soybean fields.
2009 is going to be lots of work and fun as I moved into a new home with lots of landscaping needs! I have so many plans for gardens that I know it is going to be a much too short growing season!
For my round robin friends:
Family: DH, son in CO grad school and adult daughter at home
I love garden art...gnomes, angels, birdhouses, frogs, garden flags, hypertufa, plant stakes, signs, stepping stones, windchimes, etc. (this list could be reallyyyyy long!)
Anything with sun, moon and/or stars
Candles - bakery scents, cappucino, hazelnut and flower scents too
Chocolate and lotsss of it...lol
Daylilies...especially named bagel forms
Lilliums...love their beauty and scents! :)
Hosta...is there one I don t love...NOT
Hypertufa creations are something I think are so cool and want to try...have you seen those cute faces that can peek out from the flower beds?
Plant markers...gonna need em for all these new additions I am planning
blue bottles and seashells...for my bathroom decor
Favorite colors are shades of reds/burgundy/pink, white & blue *rubbed off from my work with Veterans* ;)
Love cookbooks, gardening mags/books, mystery and romance books too
Pets: One very spoiled big black dog who lives inside (told ya he was spoiled) and thinks he is a lap dog, and five adorable cats who tolerate his exploits outside
enough already, huh??? lol I am very easy to please. Have a tendency to wear out my garden tools so they are always welcome! :)
Happy gardening!!!
Please remember our troops and their families. THANK A VET not just on one or two days of the year but always! :)
