Although I reside in College Station, I do most of my gardening at my family's home in Bayview, Texas, in the state's Lower Rio Grande Valley. The 2 acre property features an 81 tree grapefruit orchard and other tropical fruit trees. I have added a variety of native plants, many of which are rare in the wild, that are both ornamental and attractive to the area's birds and butterflies.
