Moved to the scrub on the Sunshine Coast hinterland some 7 years ago for the lush growth and the wildlife - and guess what we're cursing now! Goannas terrorising the chooks, brush turkeys scratching up the asparagus, king parrots munching on the fruit trees, magpies and butcher birds raiding the kitchen, geckos messing in the house, bower birds clearing off with all the blue pegs and toys, wallaby poop so thick one season I had to clean up before any of my toddler's friends came to visit ... truely we live in Eden!

Seriously, we've finally worked out that to have the wonderful garden we really want, we actually have to work - and keep working. Blessings on this last cool summer - we've finally started making REAL progress - but we can't keep our backs turned for long ...
