I'm a teacher, an artist, and an obsessive gardener. Gardening runs in the family, I guess I inherited the genes. I live on about two acres of land, in rural Nova Scotia, on a road that runs beside an inlet.

Although it is supposedly zone 6, winters are hard, due to the freeze and thaw cycle in January, that comes from being close to the ocean. There are a lot of temperature fluctuations, and sometimes very little snow cover to protect plants.

I'm into daylilies (fairly slug free) and have some lovely woodland gardening areas. Also have a large (30 feet across?) pond with goldfish year round.

I live in: Canada

My zone is: z6 Nova Scotia
