I live in the Berkeley hills in a Mediterranean-style house which my husband and I built. I've planted 85 roses (major rose obsession). I also have rhododendrons, azaleas, daylilies, lilacs in the back yard (kind of an East Coast garden thing). The back yard is fenced to keep out the deer. In the front yard which faces west, I have ceanothus, poppies, lavender, salvia, blue oak trees, olive trees, oleander and brugmansia. I also have two cute Shelties that patrol the garden.
