I live in Northern NV which is a veritable nightmare of gardening challenges. I have a 2 month growing season and am able to do reasonably well with tomatoes and peppers but not much else. I also have a weed that grows in my yard that has been classified as beautiful groundcover and NOTHING kills it. It chokes everything no matter what we do to rid ourselves of it. We are now buried under 6 feet of unusual snowfall for the Reno/Sparks area and this stuff is still flourishing. My garden is as organic as I can get it considering that the soil is clay and I am finally after five years seeing earthworms in the soil. I share my home with many animals that enjoy the lawn/garden/trees so I am loathe to use chemicals. Someone please, oh please help me before I give up!
Thank you for letting me vent, after shoveling snow for three weeks and seeing this stuff green as ever I am about to cry!
