I live in Carmel Valley, California.
I am completely new to gardening, nor do I have much time.
But I love to look at pretty flowers, and I'd like to grow some.
We have a sunny hill with very poor soil, and a tiny shady area on both sides of the door to the house. We have deer and gophers too.
