Having planted two walnut trees in my backyard when the children were small, I am continually struggling to find plants that will grow on my property. I like the old roses more than the new ones, and avoid herbicides and other chemicals. I am fond of bumblebees, birds, unusual spiders and bugs, and therefore use no insecticides. I love Khaki Campbell ducks, which can lay more than 250 eggs a year, and once raised six of them. I still miss them. My favorite haunt is intpopen on Yahoo.
