I can't keep even a standard yellow garden mum alive. I am very acidic. The office people moved the plants away from me and the other employees took their personal plants home. I never touch the plants, it is just something in me - I am a very acidic, pale red-head. Our bungalow has a horrible front southern exposure (I hate the sun). The grass is yellow and the plants, which he chose for sun (I have no idea what they are) are in various stages of life. The red/crimson climbing rose only grew one foot, the boxwoods died (that may be to the winter de-icer, another little ornamental tree is not doing well. There is an ugly thing with yellow flower that is of course thriving. I planted nothing this year. I should have called myself the plant killer.
