I recently became a rose addict.
I started with 3 bushes and somehow ended up with 69. From the messages on the GardenWeb I found that it's quite typical.
Last week I applied Alfalfa to the bases of my 69 bushes.
It was close to midnight when I started reading the book about roses in the bed. Suddenly I discovered that Alfalfa application must follow abundant watering, otherwise A. can burn the roots. I jumped out of bed in my pijama and started watering my roses with garden hose using flash-lights.
My neighbors who had a late party were looking at me with great curiosity.
I can't even party now; I have to spray every 2 weeks,
water, fertilize, etc. It's till a joy and good distraction after my stressful work.
Roses bring so much harmony to my life !
