I am creating a small (10 X 16) "meditation" garden at the side of my yard. Two sides were already fenced (block), so I had the third side done half the height of the rest so that it matches a wall enclosing a patio on the other side of the driveway. The fourth side is my driveway/carport. I built a small, square fountain/pond area in one corner, with existing rosebeds at each side. They may not stay - they are a lot of work for the reward. It is the area behind the pond that I am trying to grow the passion flower vines. I planted mature vines that were flowering when I purchased them. Now I am just keeping my fingers crossed! Since this is Arizona, the rest of my front yard is a nice mixture of a contained area of grass, with the rest in rock and desert plants. The back is small, and kept in grass for the dog. I am much better with a hammer and nails than I am with a spade and trowel!
