I love gardening: getting my hands in the dirt, mud, whatever and reading over catalogs, books you name it when the ground is too frozen to dig. Okay, I admit, I will pot up plants throughout the winter to the point my husband and four kids say, \"no more\"!
My family history includes lots of farmers, including my great grandfather who once owned almost all of Livingston county in Illinois until WWI and a dishonest banker (who just happened to be on the draft board).
My hubby once made me promise to save some grass in the yard. He and the kids have the backyard! AHH, but the gardening bug has bit him-HE now tills the vegetable garden for me. He enjoys the veggie garden! All four kids each have their own garden-they plan, plant, water and pick. Notice they dont do the weeding-MOM does. :o)
