I have always enjoyed yard work, including landscaping and perennial beds, but got sidetracked with marriage and children. This past spring (2003), for some unknown reason, I suddenly became obsessed with working in the flower beds. Thirsting for knowledge, I studied areas of interest (trees that survive clay soil, pruning techniques, growing vines, making trellises) which led me to discover Garden Web. The forums have taught me so much that I am branching out (sorry) into other areas of gardening. I'm looking forward to creating more beds, embellishing the yard with mmore shade trees, and amending the soil as I continue to learn.
