I have always enjoyed the gardening forums, but currently visit the kitchen and appliance forums more often. We are preparing to remodel the kitchen in our 1902 Victorian home. I am going with an unfitted look, with cream-colored built-in cabinets (beaded style with bin pulls) along with a few antique oak pieces I have found. I use an antique oak Sellers Hoosier-type cabinet as a baking center. It is pretty with colored glass door trim and sleek lines; not bulky like some others. It is so fun using the flour bin and having all my baking supplies in one spot! I have my grandmother's 1920s canisters inside, and use them (makes me feel warm all over every time). It will soon be the focal point of my remodeled kitchen. To tie it all together, I plan to have an oak trim piece on the decorative molding of the built-ins.
I find the kitchen forum and appliance forum to be invaluable tools. I have learned SO MUCH, and have tweaked my kitchen design to the point that I'm sure it will be fabulous, thanks to the help from the forums!
