I live and garden in Naples, FL. We are close to the coast, rarely freezes, rarely chilly enough to wear jeans even. Beautiful spot. Been here 11 years, Moved here from Sun Valley, Idaho. Also beautiful spot, very short growing season, < 90 days, freeze possible any day of the year. Ch..ch..changes...

I have bananas, mangos, grapefruit and lemons in my back yard. Also a pond, no koi but some fat goldfish, a lotus and some great waterlilies. I do a small veg garden in the fall/winter. I have been adding many tropicals and natives to my yard which was all grass when we moved here.

I garden for a living also, so I am truly obsessed. I have a small design/maintenence company with both commercial and residential accounts: containers, courtyards, pool areas. My hort. degree is from Boise State U. (emphasis in forestry). I have enjoyed this new direction. what next? I'd like to start growing some specialty plants...things that are hard to find...

I live in: United States
