We began construction of our retirement home on a lake in April of 2004 and moved in May of 2005. The house is stucco--a combination of French Country and New Orleans/Old South.

We are presently building a seawall and boathouse and planning our landscaping, retaining the native buckeye, beautyberries, black walnut trees, mimosa, and other native plants. We also have transplanted wisteria, bulbs, mayhaw and black walnut trees from our old family homeplaces and look forward to planning a cutting garden, herb and vegetable gardens, and other landscaping projects.
