I've caught the hosta bug and am gathering ID books and varieties like they're going out of style.

I also love trees, have nearly 40 on my 1/2 acre lot...with lots more to plant. I've got a cedar windbreak that's falling over (~30 ft tall, mature, at the end of their life) and needs to be replaced. We also had to take down a mature red oak that was diseased and threatening to fall on the house. Very sad. Time for something new to go in the nice, open, full-sun spot...

Heirloom tomatoes are great fun for me. I start about 100 from seed every year and share 90 of the plants with friends and family. Those sprouting trays give me an early indoor spring.
