One of the first pictures I have of myself is one of me strrrrretching my arm outside my playpen (and probably causing lifelong damage to the cervical vertebrae) reaching for one of my Dad's tomatoes. I haven't been all there since.

I am (still) a renter, but I have a community garden plot. And last year I moved across the street to a little house with front yard (loaded with rocks) and back yard (with oxalis). In one year I have transformed the front into a rockless "52 Week Garden". I planted something every week with an overall design in mind. Because I started with the soil, the results have not been disappointing.
