I'm a decorative artist who is also an obsessive/compulsive gardener. I primarily grow perennials and have many border and island beds throughout our city property. WE are challenged with having a very rocky lot and we can't put in a flower bed without first digging out the boulders (yes I mean boulders, NH is known as the granite state) We've used most of these rocks to build raised beds and terraced our hill to create a large perennial bed. We also put in an ornamental pond a couple of years ago and it is a lovely addition to the gardens.
