Im a retired elementary music teacher who now works giving private piano and voice lessons, babysitting my 2-year-old granddaughter, and proof-reading for a court reporter. Im also the organist and music director at our church.
Were in the process of building a new home which is much too big and much too expensive, but we needed to make our home more accessible for those "golden years." We hope to move in the early spring of 2005.
I like classical and traditional decor these days. Ive been through the Early American, country, and cottage phases and am looking for something a little more formal though still comfy.
I enjoy sewing, smocking, and cooking, and I cant wait to get my new sewing room, music room, and kitchen!!
2006 update: Well, we moved in our new home in July of 2005. I went back to teaching elementary music half-time this fall. What a change! Everyone warned me that the kids were "different these days." I thought they were kidding, but now I know. Its taken me a whole semester to get them straightened out to my way of thinking. LOL Now, Im trying to decide if Ill go back this fall or stay home with a new grandchild thats due in June! Money may be an issue. Actually, there are 2 grandbabies due this summer!!! Thats why I got this big kitchen, which Im really enjoying.
