My specialty is heirloom or foreign tomatoes. Usually grow around 30-40 varieties each year, 2 plants each. Otherwise, I grow the usual vegetables, particularly all kinds of peppers and a variety of green beans. Also have a fondness for leafy head lettuces, like the Batavias.

I have two medium sized garden plots which consist of many wooden board-lined 4x8 or 4x12 raised beds. My original front garden has clay soil and gets full sun all day. My back garden, a former horse corral (which I refer to as "my secret garden" because it is hidden from view by forest on all sides)has great organic and sandy soil, but only gets 5-7 hours of full sun. Its always fun comparing the progress of the two different garden throughout the summer.
