I am an older Native American Lady who has homes in Corpus Christi, TX and in Siguatepeque, Honduras (altitude is about a mile high there so the weather is like a gorgeous late spring day all but 40 days a year when it is a bit cooler!) I use a wheelchair almost full-time. I have walked the "Old-Ways" of my people (small group orig. in West Texas) all my life. I am experienced in large scale farming, Permaculture, Self-Sufficient Living, Old-Ways medicines, Seed Saving, Heirlooms, Plants living in community with eachother and ways that plants control their own environments, etc.

My TX home is a condo right on the windy beach that is about impossible to grow anything outside, but in Honduras I have a wonderful variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers that just about grow like weeds. I never thought I would have a yard where my main "weeds" were way too many Mango, Guave, Banana and Avacado trees!!! And let us not forget those 'pesky' Orchids that seem to grow from every crevice!
I am experimenting with growing Chard, Spinach and other greens in Honduras as the people there have a real need of these type items in their diet and the seeds for such are totally unavailable there. I take down as many as I can get my hands on each time I go down. The people there are quick to utalise these greens in their diets as they care greatly about the health of their children and are willing to use these foods that are new to them. All Vegetable seeds donations will be greatly appreciated by the pwople there, Honduras is the POOREST country in the Western Hemisphere and the people are wonderful and most grateful for help in feeding their families a balanced diet.
