As a youngster I used to watch my Mom & Dad do their thing in the garden and wondered why and how they could spend so much time shovelling dirt etc. I now know why!! I enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of gardening. My husband is totally not a gardener but enjoys the end results of my labours.
I have a formal front & backyard garden which we enjoy but I am also fortunate to have a large perennial area at the base of our lot with a waterfall, pond, lots of hydrangeas, climatis, peonies, daylilies etc. etc. We started this about 10 yrs. ago and have watched it grow and added to it since then. It is now quite self sufficient and I am definitely in need of passing on some plants as it is becoming overcrowded. Gardening is one of my passions as you can tell but I find that Golf is starting to become a close second!!
