I finally bought a home last year and I've been learning a little here and there about landscaping (trees, shrubs, flowers) and I'm doing some container gardening on the rear deck, mainly peppers and tomatoes. I've got some cucumbers and squash planted in the back yard. The thing I'm really enjoying learning about is Japanese Maples. I bought my first ones last month (a Osakazuki and a Golden Full Moon Maple). They are 1st year grafts and are about a foot tall. I'm also trying to grow some seedlings, with an eye on learning grafting later.
