Born in 1956, I live in a 'high desert' climate in Canon City, CO. It's remarkably nice much of the winter, but with some very pronounced wintry weather here and there. Ornamental gardening is my main passion, but I grow a few veggies too. I'm spoiled by plenty of irrigation water most of the time.
