My wife and I farm prunes, walnuts, and persimmons in the Sacramento Valley. We lease about 260 acres from the family trust and corporation. My wife is an assistant to the music department in the local school district. We have two daughters; one studying music in Germany, one in high school (sports nut). In that we farm, we do not bother with having a garden (those who garden, I suspect, dearly wish to farm). We've a lazy dog, two fat cats, 1 peahen who thinks she's a chicken (the 2 peacocks got themselves run over) and a two silly-looking chickens who thinks they're a peahen. You will find me at the environment forum; reading, sometimes posting.
