I have been "hooked" on day lilies and perennials for approximately 2 years and my back yard is growing smaller each season. When I wonder whether or not I should thank those friends that got me started by giving me their overflow of plants, I just sit back and observe all of the colors and smells that entice butterflies, bees and birds to the varied flowers. It is so much fun to wake up during the summer growing season and walk outside to see which new flower has bloomed that day and such a relaxing way to end each day by walking among the flowers.
