I moved from rochester, ny, near lake ontario to the charleston, sc area 3 years ago. at first i was terribly homesick for the familiar gardening that i was acclimated to, just about 4 short warm months. but after being here for 3 years i am now absolutely in awe of the abundance of plant material that is able to be grown. i love the the seemingly endless variety of plants one can grow here in the coastal south.
