04/06/09 I always seem to jump from one plant group to the next (but I never abandon growing "previous plant groups". As a professional I work for the Army in a nursery that raises endangered native Hawaiian species for ex-situ stock and reintroduction. At home I grow native Hawaiian plants, orchids, cacti and succulents, flowers (sunflowers, gingers, heliconias, gardenias to name a few), a few gymnosperms and botanical oddities, but right now I have all of a sudden fallen deeply in love with growing edible plants (mostly vegetables and herbs) I am learning how to cook, so an edible garden is great and fun. I can't consider my garden truly organic but I stay as organic as possible.
