I live in Massachusetts, and garden madly every chance I get. My first gardening attempts were a success. Years ago when I lived in Florida as a young woman, I would plant our small living 'Christmas trees' after we were done with them. I recently drove past the old homestead and sure enough, those little trees were still growing up next to the house, where I had planted them over 25 years ago.
I believe my love of gardening was inherited from my grandmother. So far I haven't seen any seeds sprouting from my kids in that department, but my son mows a mean lawn when the mood strikes him!
