I have many interests. I like working in my garden which I call my 'junk garden' because I try to find the most strangest things to decorate and/or plant in, (old boots, toilets, legs from a manequin, and old ladders for trellises, PCV sewer pipes for plant stands and gazing balls made of broken mirror pieces glued to old bowling balls, and more). I've started growing gourds to craft with. I'm learning to make jewelry with beads and hemp/wire/cording, along with other mix medium art, (right now I'm working on a bonsai tree that is made of brass wire, stone, moss and beads). As my daugher's family grows, so does the need for more furniture, so I've been finding and re-designing dressers, beds, shelves etc. for my grandkids, and while I'm at it, the kids help me and learn to do it too.
I have 2 kids, 4 grandkids, 1 spoiled dog, one fussy Cockatiel, and 1 very wicked, 22 year old, Blue crowned Conure I adopted last year from an aviary rescue center. I get teased these days that I don't live in a house--I live in a workshop.
