I grew up on a farm in R.I. I have had a great life growing and raising plants and animals.I have recently moved again to a bigger house and lot.I had to leave all my wonderful plants behind. I had to start from the beginning planting my gardens. The home we moved to was barren. The people that owned the property before us were just bush and shrub type people.NO FLOWERS!!!!!So I have my work cut out planting and making new beds. I have also started my new compost pile. We had to plant and endure the evil drought we had this summer. We had a water ban, no outside water use at all. My husband bought an electric pump, and used our gray water from the sink and tub. I got so used to it I am still doing it. This really saves on the water bill and the enviroment. Plus, we did not have to have our septic system pumped out, it did not get filled up!!! I only lost 2 plants the whole summer. My vegetables were beautiful and they were tasty. I also want to say thanks to all the people that sent seeds I really needed them, for this new home. Colleen
