I am a long time garden lover, but a newbie at doing it myself. We live on Wilmington Island, just northeast of the city of Savannah, where it's steamy hot, and the mosquitos and palmetto bugs play. I have two loud dogs, two and half cats, and three small ponds overflowing with hyacinths. A bullfrog found the ponds this year, which is thrilling (for me), and I'm hoping we have babies, but it's too crowded with nasty hair-like hyacinth roots to tell...
