I moved to Bisbee from northern California 3 years ago. I did some gardening in California, but I was a renter, so there were limits to how much time and money I was willing to spend on it.

Now I am a home owner and trying to landscape my little yard (which was pretty much a blank slate) intelligently for the climate/region, but also to create an oasis here. Going for a sort of drought resistant cottage garden.

I am trying to get all my perennial "anchor plants" and trees started now, to fill in with annuals later or not as needed. I am finding the extreme heat and winter frost of the high desert to be challenging. Glad I found the forum because I need help!
