I have around 45 rose bushes in my yard. My husband and I enjoy feeding the song birds and especially the blue birds. We feed the blue birds mealworms and have a blue bird house mounted to the side of our shed. Every year we have a pair of blue birds take advantage of our hospitality. We also enjoy feeding necter to the hummingbirds and have a feeder mounted on the window outside our kitchen. Our daugher tells us we need to get a life, somehow working in the garden and looking out the window at the birds is not her cup of tea. But what does she know-she's only 21.
