updated 5-16-13 Hi My name is Christy. I'm a single Mom with a full time job and loving life! Otherthan gardening I like to Quilt,knit,crochet, and read. I have the most wonderful kids and love my job :) I work in a kitchen. Sometimes Im the buffet runner, sometimes a prep cook, everyday a line cook, and few days out the week I'm a chef. I love playing with food lol. So now I'm growing more veg. But my gardening love will always be flowers! I want a yard full of flowers. I got allot of work cut out for me :) I got my Love of flowers from my Grandmother Renz. I remember picking her flowers to put on the kitchen table. My Aunt Joan would tell us kids stories that would have us looking for fairy and gnome sign's in the flowers and tree's or all day searching the yard for a 4 leaf clover and the whole time keeping one eye on the cellar door for the man size spider that would eat us! lol I believe growing gardens also grows cherished memories. and wonderful friendship's. I have found GW members to be the best of gardening friend's. They have lifted my spirit when I could not on my own. I will not forget that ever! Thank you all. You know who you are :) And I have already started passing on the kindness :) Well as I just said I got my love of flowers from my Grandmother, I also got my first flowers from her. When she passed away my Aunt Sue took her flowers and cared for them. when I started out in life as a adult my aunt passed down those same plants to me. Yucca's, peonies, Iris, rose rambler, ditch lilies and daffs :) These are also growing on my Grandmothers grave. And i will make sure they will be on my Aunt Sue's grave. a day I hope never comes.... My Aunt added a mix of HollyHocks to the collection. that I still grow to this day. always saving a few seeds just in case. I hope when I pass on one of my kids will continue the family flower tradition :) Thank you all who have traded with me :)
