Hi I live in NE Ct. We were transplanted here almost 3yrs ago from Missouri. Yes there is a huge change for my gardening , it is a very short season here!
I have a BS in Agriculture/Horticulture, I had been a professional gardener in Missouri(at a Botanical garden)but am now working at a mail order/retail nursery in Ct(no it is not as stimulating as being a gardener,or very satisfying)I am back to being a Gardener yippee. I had to have a way to support my habits, gardening, horses, an agility dog and milk goats.
I have a mostly woodland shade type garden here but had brought some prarie plants with me from Mo. Yes my pets are welcome in my garden! They have kept the varmits out. Cats are great at catching voles. I also love arisaemas and will trade as soon as I have some seedlings to trade.
I also have a 4H club only 2 members, they are great kids(oh yeah one is mine). My husband is a learning gardener and if he isn't too busy likes to help me with the garden. I will try to change this from time to time and maybe tell a story.
