I live in northern New York 12 miles south of Quebec and near Lake Champlain. I pretty much prefer container-grown plants,as they don't require so much crawling around on the ground for weeding. For house plants I have a bit of everything that will tolerate low winter light and a dry atmosphere.

I have a 1 acre lot surrounded by farmland and evergreens which entice an assortment of birds and other wild animals.

I read many of the forums and have any number of favorites.

My 2 daughters live in Alabama and Tennessee,so I visit the South regularly and envy them the plants that can be grown there.They also have a nice selection of birds different from what I have.
