I live in zone 6/7 (Lexington, KY). I like planting things that are zone 6 and higher so that I have the most "southern" garden available to me. This includes crape myrtles, southern magnolias, liriope grass, certain types of japanese maples, bamboo, japonica etc. Sometimes I can get by with zone 7 plantings.
