I've recently returned to the rolling hills of Eastern Kentucky after 30 years of gardening in the sub-tropics and it's culture shock to say the least, especially for the NYC husband I brought with me. I am a stay at home housewife (after a long career in dogs) and spend my time working on the new house, the new yard, and taking care of too many pets, both Irish Wolfhounds and indoor only cats. There is nothing I love more than to spend my day working to literal exhaustion and then taking the next day off for lazing around enjoying my labors. I can sit outside for hours admiring the view and making plans for the next marathon garden day. If it is over 50 degrees and not raining I am out there piddling around in something. I just love to play in dirt!
