Hi, I'm an organic gardener from WI. I moved 8 years ago from south west WI to northern WI and left behind an established(but a little weedy) garden. I brought about 250 perennials with me; some lived and did really well and are ready to trade and others faded to be replaced by lots of new plants. I completed the master gardener course here in WI and the project that I worked on was a Shakespeare garden at our local library. Sadly I had to leave that behind also. My interests include: herb and vegetable gardening, perennials, natives, and my evening garden. I also have developed a love for day lilies and hostas since moving here since taking up with the "petal pushers", a crazy group of "hard core" gardeners here in Wausau, WI. I live on 16 wooded acres, and have about 2 acres for gardening. I have started a prairie restoration project, out in my front meadow that is doing quite well. The kids are also growing like weeds so they keep me very busy as do the critters. I have a dome greenhouse which is a new learning experience for me as I will also try my hand at small scale water gardening inside the greenhouse. I have been a Garden Web member for many years, let's see, probably about 15 now. I want to take some space here to personally thank you all. Through the years I have gained plenty of knowledge and have met TONS of nice people. If fact I think I can safely say that you guys have made me the garden enthusiast that I am today. I was an RN for many years and 2011 was a major year of change for me. I had a bunch of injuries, 2 knees, a shoulder and a retina problem. I have always wished to be in a more "botanical" field but it was the injuries that forced me to quit my nursing job and do what I always wanted to do.
