We retired to Paphos 10 years ago and planted fruit trees, lawns and flowers. Unfortunately the weeds grow faster than we can cope with them and the water shortages mean lawns aren't a good option. We now have a couch-grass and clover 'lawn', patios and containers for plants and productive fruit trees. We also have a huge rubber tree which started life as a pot plant. Things really grow here, but it's very hot and humid in summer and we don't normally see rain from late May to October. It's also too hot for much gardening during the height of summer so it's mainly a winter/spring activity.
