Ive been gardening since we bought our first home 10 years ago; am now in 2nd home, put in garden from scratch last spring and summer: its small (large house, small lot syndrome) and very sunny. I go out to take a look around in the morning and usually have trouble coming back inside before 4 hours have passed, hand watering even though most everything is on drip, deadheading, pruning, weeding, and just making myself a nuisance to all growing things. The garden looks best when Ive been away for a week and havent been able to interfere with its natural processes.
