Retired from Nursing. Gardening on 1 acre. Interests include, birds and critters, cats "antiques" of all kinds, especially old flowers, my old husband, and new things, like, grand children-- Newest member: Alyssa 1 yr old. I have a veggie garden about 40'by 40'. Lots of flower beds full of bulbs, perenials,& shrubs. Have 19 fruit trees, 18 deciduous trees and 14 evergreen trees. Our acre is on a hill, so we have many terraces, some bigger than others. My husband built a 70 foot long terrace wall from broken pieces of cement from the neighbors patio, it is beautiful now, covered with things like Kennilworth ivy, sedums and vines and moss. We have lots of birds, and this year quite a large family of hummingbirds both Anna's and Rufus--who practice territorial war. Just like politics!
