Ive lived most of my life in the Midwest, then moved to the Pacific Northwest for two years -- the gardeners Mecca, and I loved the mountains! Now Im outside Cleveland, in beautiful northeast Ohio (sshhhh, dont tell anyone how lovely it is here -- we dont need the crowds!) after spending two of the hottest months of my life in Texas last summer. It looks like Im here to stay and Im loving it -- the area combines the beauty of the evergreens and hills of the Northwest with the seasons and cycles of the Midwest that are so much a part of me.

Ive gardened all my life, am a botanist out of love and a horticulturist by education. In keeping with making big changes in my life, Ive moved from horticulture to non-profit administration and graphic design/editing/writing. But gardening, wildflowers, botany, and learning new things will always be my biggest passions. Happy gardening, everyone!
